Data FlareWatch handles
FlareWatch is designed to hold as little customer data as possible. We may process:
- License data, including license keys, purchase status, expiry status, and Polar customer or order identifiers needed to validate purchases and handle renewals, refunds, and revocations.
- Cloudflare account data needed for deployment, such as the selected account ID and the deployment target you choose.
- Cloudflare OAuth tokens or credentials handled transiently to create, update, delete, or redeploy resources in your Cloudflare account.
- Wizard configuration you enter, such as status page settings, monitor targets, notification settings, custom domain settings, and theme settings, so the deployment can be generated.
- Support messages you send, including your email address, message content, screenshots, and any diagnostic details you choose to include.
- Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the site, such as request metadata, error logs, session cookies, and theme preference cookies.
Payment data
Checkout, payment processing, invoices, tax/VAT handling, and license issuance are handled by Polar.sh acting as merchant of record. Polar may collect your name, email, billing address, tax details, payment details, and related purchase data according to its own terms and privacy policy. See the Polar Privacy Policy.
How data is used
We use data to:
- Run the guided deployment and update flow.
- Validate license keys and enforce one live deployment per license.
- Provide best-effort support.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug failures, and comply with legal duties.
Analytics and ads
This site may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across sites. We see aggregate page metrics only. FlareWatch does not use advertising trackers or ad networks, does not serve ads, and does not sell personal data.
Where your deployment data lives
The deployed status page, monitor worker, configuration, and monitoring state live in your own Cloudflare account. FlareWatch does not host your status page or store your monitoring history as a managed service.
Sharing with processors and service providers
We share data only as needed to operate the service, including with Polar for checkout and licensing, Cloudflare when you authorize a deployment into your account, and infrastructure providers used to run flarewatch.app. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the service from abuse.
Retention
Cloudflare OAuth tokens or credentials are kept only for the time needed for the wizard flow and related deployment actions. Temporary session data expires or is deleted when no longer needed. License and purchase records may be retained as long as necessary to validate your license, provide renewals or refunds, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Support emails may be retained while needed to handle the request and keep a support history.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or another region with privacy rights, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, object to certain processing, and complain to a data protection authority. To exercise rights related to FlareWatch data, email support@flarewatch.app. For payment and billing data controlled by Polar, contact Polar through its privacy policy.
Security
FlareWatch uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for a small deployment service, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure. Do not email secrets, passwords, API tokens, private keys, or unredacted credentials to support.
